Donnetta Tungate joined Lindsey Wilson College in the fall of 2014. She received an A.D.N. in nursing from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 1986 and Bachelors in Public Health in 2004. In the spring, 2014 she received a M.S.N. from Walden University and completed her certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator in 2012 and a Masters Licensed Diabetes Educator in 2013.

Donnetta Tungate has taught Senior Research, Population Health, Foundation's Clinical, and Pediatric Clinical. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, Kentucky Diabetes Network, and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.

Ms. Tungate's research interest is diabetes and community health.

Ms. Tungate lives in Campbellsville Kentucky. She is an active member at 3Trees Church. Ms. Tungate has performed several medical mission trips in third world countries. She enjoys working with students, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
