Ashley Hancock began her career in nursing at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky where she practiced in medical surgical nursing and emergency nursing. Ashley Hancock began her career in nursing education at Lindsey Wilson College in Fall 2012. Primary content areas of expertise include Foundations of Professional Practice and Medical Surgical Nursing. Ashley has developed courses in both the pre-licensure and RN to BSN program.

Ashley actively serves in the nursing program as a member of the simulation learning committee. She serves as chair of the nursing curriculum committee and nursing numeracy integration committee. As part of her commitment to program development, Ashley developed an integrated numeracy competency for the pre-licensure nursing curriculum. Ashley has assisted in guiding several students prepare for NCLEX testing upon graduation.

Ashley enjoys assisting students achieve their dream of becoming a nurse and watching the impact the student has on the lives of their patients in the clinical setting.
