Dr. Gallo grew up outside of Cleveland, OH and has been a practicing counselor in three states: OH, IL, and KY. Dr. Gallo has been a practicing counselor to a variety of populations with specialties including: LGBTQQ, partners, spouses, and family members; people with addiction, partners, spouses, and family members; severe mental illness; and a multiplicity of people from different SESs. Dr. Gallo retains a small private practice in order to continue to serve the community, bring current and relevant counseling experiences into the classroom, and to continue her first love, the art and practice of helping people grow and gain necessary life skills in order to develop further on their life path.

Dr. Gallo has been a professor in higher education since 2009, first teaching adjunct for two universities in Chicago. Dr. Gallo joined LWC SPC in 2011 and has found her heart of service here at LWC. She is currently the RFS in Lexington, KY and Danville, KY. Dr. Gallo has taught students in person, online, and blended course (online and seated).
